Zamacona, Mary

Welcome! My name is Mary Zamacona and I have been teaching on the eastside of St. Paul since 2008. I have been at Harding since 2018 and love this school community! Previously, I taught English, citizenship and job skills to adult learners.

I moved to the United States from Ireland when I was in college and graduated with a BA from St. Thomas and a Masters from Hamline University. I am dual licensed in English as a Second Language and Social Studies. Additionally, I am the girls' Cross Country coach.

When I am not in school, I love working in my St. Paul garden, visiting Farmers’ Markets, travelling and camping. My husband (also a SPPS teacher), three kids and dog are my biggest cooking fans and we all love get-togethers with my big extended family.
