Julia Shepherd

I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Macalester College in 1992.  I majored in S

peech Communications and minored in Japan Studies.  During the two years following college graduation, I had the privilege of working in Japan and traveling Southeast Asia.  After I returned from Asia, I earned my secondary teaching license in English/Language Arts and a Masters Degree from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.  I began teaching at Harding in 1995, and I've been here ever since!  Clearly, I love it, and I wouldn't want to teach anywhere else.

I have two beautiful daughters who both graduated from St. Paul Public Schools; they are college students now.  One attends college in New York and the other in California!  I have two great places to visit them.  Hiking, working out at the gym, writing & reading and traveling are among my free time activities.  I am working to develop some home improvement skills because I have many projects that await me.
