Kyllo, Tena
Hello! My name is Tena Kyllo (she/her) and I started working at Harding in 2019 as a Special Education Teacher with a license in both Emotional/Behavior Disorders and Specific Learning Disabilities. I currently teach Chemistry Concepts, Physical Science Concepts, Reading and Skills for College and Career Readiness for students in 9-12th grade. I also am a co-coordinator for the Knight Crew and GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) groups.
I grew up in North Minneapolis and attended Patrick Henry High School. I moved to the Greater East Side of St. Paul in 2005 and LOVE being an Eastsider (don't tell my Mpls friends)! I graduated from Concordia University in St. Paul with a degree in Special Education and a Masters in Differentiated Instruction.
Before coming to Harding, I taught at St. Paul Central for five years. Prior to teaching, I worked as a support staff member for the Minneapolis Public Schools from 1996 - 2013 at Patrick Henry, South and Washburn High Schools.
