Harper, Angie
Boozhoo! I've been here at Harding since 1997. I am an Anishinaabe woman, enrolled in the Bois Forte Band of Ojibwe. I grew up on the Leech Lake Indian Reservation. I graduated with a triple major in English, Ethnic Studies, and Secondary Education from Cornell College. Then I earned my Master's Degree in Education from Saint Mary's University. I coordinate the American Indian Studies Program at Harding. I enjoy working with students, getting to know their families, and seeing them in the community. I like to work closely with Indian Education and other community partners to enrich our students' learning experiences.
I teach American Indian Voices (a literature class), American Indian History, and American Indian AVID (a college prep class for Native 9th grade students).
