Combs, Renee

This is my 29th year of teaching in St. Paul Public Schools.  I have taught at Battle Creek and Farsworth Middle School, and I am excited to now be at Harding High School teaching some of my former students!  Along with teaching Health and Fitness classes, I also coached track for many years and was the Athletic Director at Farsnworth for  7 years.  At Harding I will be teaching Health, Stress Management, and Intro to Medical Careers. In the afternoon I teach/support at the District Career Pathway Center.

Personal

Living an active and healthy lifestyle is my passion.  I love the outdoors and my favorite activities include biking(especially off road mountain biking!), skiing, (both downhill and crosscountry), rollerblading, and waterskiing.  Yoga is part of my daily life, I am an instructor and also take part in various classes.  I love spending time with my family which includes husband, adult children, and grandchildren.  I live in Stillwater and cherish the St. Croix river, where we like to spend time on our boat in the summer.  Our home away from home has become the Mountains in Colorado.  We travel there as much as possible in the winter, and have spent weeks at a time there in the summer.

 My goal as a teacher is to inspire students to find their inner strengths and use that energy to live healthy, productive, happy and fullfilling lives.
