Thiner Named New Harding Principal

Dear Harding High School Community, 

I am pleased to share with you that I have selected a new leader for Harding High School. Please join me in welcoming Andrea Thiner (pronounced THINE-er) as your school’s principal beginning in the 2025-26 school year. As previously announced, Tony Chlebecek will be taking another role within Saint Paul Public Schools at the end of this school year. I’d like to thank Principal Chlebecek for his two years of service as Harding principal.

Principal Thiner is currently the assistant principal at Focus Beyond within SPPS. She has also held leadership roles within North Branch Area Schools and Moorhead Public Schools. Principal Thiner was named the 2022 Minnesota State Transportation Center of Excellence Academic Professional of the Year. She also worked as a classroom teacher for many years, including at Humboldt High School.

Principal Thiner has her Ed.S. degree from North Dakota State University, her Master’s in education from the University of St. Thomas, and her Bachelor’s degree in botany from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
