This summer Harding High School senior, Yareldy Sanchez Biviano, participated in The Supreme Court Historical Society’s week-long program for high school students, “The Supreme Court and My Hometown” at the United States District Courthouse in Saint Paul.

She investigated the Supreme Court case Near v. Minnesota (1931) and got to delve into the inner workings of the federal judiciary and the Supreme Court of the USA, learning from state and federal judges as well as local attorneys, professors, and historians.

The exhibit she and the other students created was on display for a reception at the courthouse on Constitution Day on September 17.

The image shows a group of people, including a judge and several individuals wearing robes, standing in a courtroom setting with a large seal of the United States on the wall behind them.
