Emergency Medical Services/Firefighter/CPR Training

City of Saint Paul YJC– EMS Academy GET PAID to STUDY/LEARN!!For: Ages 18 (by June 12)-24 + Resident of Saint Paul, hold a current MN ID or Driver’s License, have a HS Diploma or GED, + qualify as low-income OR at-risk. Meets June 12-Aug. 25. From 8:00am-4:30pm, Mon., Wed., & Fridays, Wages: $9.50 per hour – LEARN EMT, Firefighter Awareness, & CPR. Through Inver Hills Community College (earn 9 college credits!). Outside of class, participants are expected to commit 20-40 hours per week completing homework and studying for exams. 20-36 openings. Interviews: May 22. Orientation: June 7. Must be able to participate in practical skills stations during classroom time that require the physical capability to safely lift and move 50 pounds, carry equipment up and down stairs, and read the small print on a medication package unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation. ?s - emsacademy@stpaul.gov 651-266-8920. St. Paul Police Law Enforcement - Career Path Academy EARN $10.50 per hour. Must be a resident of Saint Paul or one of the surrounding communities, at least 18 years of age, HS Diploma or GED, or graduating from high school this year. PREFERENCE for those receiving public or housing assistance, and those who speak, write, or read a language other than English, including American Sign Language. Must also pass a criminal history check and must be able to participate in moderately strenuous physical science. Volunteer for SPPD community outreach events.
