IB Course Offerings

For Grades 11 and 12

English:   

11th: IB World Literature 11           

12th: IB World Literature 12 (HL test)

Language B:

French, Spanish, or Japanese…Levels 3, 4, or 5

Testing options:

1. take SL ab initio test at Level 3 as a senior
2. take SL test at Level 4
3. take SL or HL test at Level 5
   

History:   

11th: IB History of Americas      

12th: IB 20th Century Topics 12 (HL test)

Optional:

12th: Philosophy (SL test) NEW in 2010       
12th: Economics (SL test) NEW in 2010       

Science:   

11th: IB Physics 1                  

12th: IB Physics 2 (take SL or HL test)

11th: IB Chem 1   (take SL test)           

12th: IB Chem 2 (take HL test)

11th: IB Biology 1 (take SL test)          

12th: IB Biology 2 (take HL test)
       

*Students can take one science SL test and one Science HL test if their schedule allows

Math:    

Option 1:

11th: IB Analysis                    

12th: IB Calculus (take SL Math test)
                                or

12th: IB Math Studies (take SL Math Studies test)

Option 2:

11th: Integrated Math 3 or Algebra 2        

12th: IB Math Studies (take SL Math Studies test)

Option 3:

11th: IB Math Studies (SL math studies test)

Option 4:

10th: IB Analysis

11th: IB Calculus (SL math test) 

12th:   IB Advanced Topics (HL math test)

Arts:      

IB Theatre (can take SL or HL test, depending on background/schedule/experience) - see Mr. Coleman for details

IB Visual Arts (same as above, but need to take at least a year of art) - see Mr. Cook for details

Theory of Knowledge:
