La Familia provides culturally competent mental health social services in order to enhance the quality of life for Chicano/Latino students and families. There are bilingual and bicultural staff who provide the following services:

Medical Assistance at Regions Hospital

Provides free medical services for some people without insurance.
If you qualify, you will need:

  • A photo ID
  • a social security card or your immigration status
  • a statement of support from the family you live with if you do not live at home

If you are concerned about your student's drug and alcohol use, consider a chemical assessment.

Baby Talks
A group for pregnant and/or parenting teens. The group meets for 9 week sessions at the Neighborhood House (located behind El Burrito Mercado) on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30. Hmong and Spanish interpreters can be provided. Talk to your counselor for more details.
