The Schroeder Gallery
At Battle Creek Middle School we just finished our Animal Unit. We took a deep look into the Ojibwe Clan system and created small Animal Totems based on the Inuit Animal Carvings. We created our totems out of Sculpey clay. Coming soon: check out my page on the BCMS website to see student work!!
At Harding High School we are working on beaded Medallions. The students took the traditional bead-working technique of appliqué and created a pattern that related to their own cultural background. It’s exciting to see the diversity we celebrate in our classrooms.
