I am the new counselor for the Academy of Fine Arts. My role as a licensed school counselor is to support students, families, and teachers with the ultimate goal always centered around student academic success.
 I was born in Lima, Peru and raised in Minnesota. I have lived in
Ohio, Washington, DC, Arizona, Florida, Mexico, Peru, and Brazil. I
love theatre, independent films, studying languages, the outdoors, and
all forms performing and visual art. Licensed school counselors work with students and families in three areas: - academic planning
- college and career planning
- personal and emotional support
My related work experience includes:
- School counselor for Minneapolis Public Schools (9th-12th)
- Academic advisor at the University of Minnesota with the TRiO Program (former General College)
- College advisor at a college center in a Washington, DC high school
