Generation Gap
According to a survey done by Liberty Mutual and SADD, there is a generation gap when it comes to concerns about driving. Parents concerns about driving include: talking on cell phones, talking with each other in the car, drivind in snow, driving in traffic, driving in the rain and driving at night. Teens are not concerned about any of those topics. "Young drivers clearly don't recognize the challenges these distractions and conditions present." says Glenn Greenberg, Liberty Mutual's senior public relations consultant.

It is clearly up to parents to point out the possible outcomes of driving while distracted. First we must model the proper behavior and stop our own distracted driving behaviors. How many have seen drivers reading, talking on cell phones, smoking, applying make-up or nail polish, reading, watchinig DVD's, singing to the music and energetically conversing with passengers.
